Junior Jazz Week 2021
By Nate Martinez
In conjunction with Jr. NBA week, the Utah Jazz and the Junior Jazz program will celebrate Junior Jazz Week from April 12-17. The week will include multiple ways for Junior Jazz participants and their families to interact with the Jazz in fun and safe ways.
The highlight of the week will be a Junior Jazz Virtual Party. The event will take place on Thursday, April 15 at 7pm and will include appearances from select Jazz players, Jazz Bear and other Jazz personalities. To receive a link to the party, please visit: bit.ly/juniorjazzweek2021. This event will take the place of Junior Jazz Parties that have taken place at Vivint Arena in the past.
In addition to the party, there will be several prizes dropped around the state throughout the week as part of a scavenger hunt. The date, time and city in which each drop will take place will be listed on the Jazz Youth website found here. This page will not go live until April 12. Pictures featuring the exact location of each prize drop will be added to the same website when the prize pickup begins. The first person (ages 5-17) who arrives at each prize site wearing a Junior Jazz jersey will win the prize pack for that location. Prize packs will include Jazz swag and items signed by current Jazz players. In addition, there will be smaller prizes available for the first 100 people at each site. All participants are encouraged to wear masks, social distance and follow all public health guidelines.
The week will also include various activities and contests in which kids can participate. These will include Junior Jazz themed wallpapers, jersey design pages, a chance to post old Junior Jazz photos and more.
The website with information on all Junior Jazz week activities will be available starting at 8am on Monday, April 12. To sign up to receive information about Junior Jazz week and a link to the Junior Jazz Virtual Party please visit here.
