Junior Jazz Week Success
By Katelyn Chambers
What do Joe Ingles, Jordan Clarkson, Derrick Favors, Georges Niang and Jazz Bear all have in common? They were all part of the Junior Jazz Virtual Party! Find out if Derrick Favors can name three planets, how Georges Niang got his nickname “The Minivan”, and how Joe Ingles & Jordan Clarkson got their start in basketball. Plus, learn how to draw the Jazz Bear by a YouTube star. Catch up on all the fun by watching the full video here!
In addition to the Virtual Party, Junior Jazz Week was filled with several exciting activities and events! Over 3,000 prizes were handed out at 26 different scavenger hunt locations between St. George, Utah and Pocatello, Idaho! Check out the winner photos from each location here. Every day we also highlighted a different activity or challenge. Participants designed their own jerseys, shared a Jazz Note, and posted a #Throwback photo of themselves! You can find all activities from the week here.
Once you have caught up on all of the fun action from Junior Jazz Week, make sure to check out all of the latest information on camps and clinics! With the ability to return to the courts and offer in person trainings, we were able to hold three clinics during spring break in Farmington, Provo, and St. George. All three offerings sold out quickly which showed the strong desire for athletes to participate and feel a sense of normalcy.
We recently launched our full summer schedule with offerings located in St. George, Kanab, Provo, Pocatello, Logan, Farmington, and Salt Lake. We even have a new 3v3 player development program which you can learn more about here.
